Happy Star Wars Day!  Whether you’re an old school guy like me who saw “A New Hope” in the theater or a 21st century person who binge watches the Mandalorian on streaming or just someone who loves the Lego sets, this is your day.

Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing A New Hope back in theaters in about a year for its 50th anniversary.  Back in ’77, my mother and father went and saw the movie on a date night, and then as soon as they came home I peppered them with questions.  The following weekend, my neighborhood friends and I all trouped down to the legendary Studio 28 Multiplex and sat in the front row.  I remember at the time, there was a popular television commercial for some soft-baked cookies that were “chewy-ewy good” and we all laughed whenever someone said “Chewy” in the movie.  Could not have dreamed then what a colossus Star Wars would become!
